PSHE Curriculum Aim

At Etruscan Primary School, PSHE is at the heart of our curriculum. It equips children with the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead healthy, safe and fulfilling lives, both now and in the future. Our curriculum follows the PSHE Association Programme of Study and meets the statutory requirements for Relationships and Health Education. It also develops children’s understanding of economic wellbeing, careers, personal safety, community and their responsibilities as members of society. PSHE supports our REACH values – Respect, Enjoyment, Achievement, Collaboration and Honesty. Through age-appropriate learning, children develop resilience, independence, self-esteem and positive relationships. They learn to manage their emotions, make informed decisions, stay safe and healthy, respect diversity and understand their role in the wider world. 

By the end of Year 6, children will have developed the knowledge, language and strategies they need to navigate the challenges of growing up, contribute positively to their community and make a confident transition to secondary school.
