Design & Technology Curriculum Aim

At Etruscan Primary, our Design and Technology (D&T) curriculum is high-quality, purposeful, and inclusive. We aim to inspire every child to become a creative, innovative, and resilient learner. Through engaging, hands-on experiences, children have the chance to explore, design, make, and evaluate products that have real purpose and meaning. 

We believe D&T should be enjoyable and exciting, sparking curiosity and imagination while also developing practical skills that children can use beyond the classroom. Our curriculum encourages teamwork, perseverance, and reflection—preparing children not only for Year 7, but also to become confident problem-solvers and critical thinkers in the wider world. 

By combining technical knowledge with creative freedom, we give every child the opportunity to express their ideas with confidence and purpose—equipping them with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-changing future.
