In Year 2, you will find Mrs Goodwin and Miss Grocott.

Our School Council representatives are Ismaeel and Shuya in 2A. 2B's school council representatives are Ruqayyah and Nahyan.

2A's Eco councillor is Inaya and 2B's Eco councillor is Ayub.

By the end of Year 2, children should know the 2, 3, 5, and 10 times tables. Please practise these regularly at home. You can do this  using Times Table Rockstars.  https://play.ttrockstars.com

Who were the great explorers? 

 STEM week 2024

During STEM week we had the opportunity to explore Science, Engineering, Maths and Design Technology. We learned about exciting topics and future careers. In year 2 we took part in a workshop about Light. Kai the scientist led our investigation into using UV light to identify marks on paper money. We made UV bracelets and wore glasses that allowed us to see the colours of light.

In our class we designed parachutes to help keep an egg safe from breaking and then we carried out experiments to see if our designs worked. We also used junk modelling to design and make a space rocket that could travel into space.

We had lots of fun!
